Irish Grassland Association Dairy Summer Tour

The Irish Grassland Association Dairy Summer Tour was held online this year.  IGA Dairy Committee chairman Stuart Childs facilitated a live discussion.  He interviewed three Irish dairy farmers who have all hosted the tour previously.

David Kerr from Ballyfin, Co. Laois

Henry Walsh who farms in Oranmore, Co. Galway

Conor Creedon from Rathmore, Co. Kerry.

The really informative discussion looked back at where they were at the time they hosted the tour, where they are now and where they see themselves going in the future.

The Irish Grassland Association (IGA) is one of Irish Agriculture’s great national resources.  Since its foundation in 1946 the IGA has played a unique and central role in the development of profitable systems of milk, beef and lamb production from Ireland’s abundant grasslands.
